After weeks of being repeatedly subjected to criticism, we are now officially speaking out.
The experiences of the past few months have shown the importance of addressing the topic of infectious equine diseases openly and honestly. We have presented information on this subject transparently and openly. Events during this time were conducted responsibly, or alternative arrangements were found in cooperation with the organizers.
Special thanks go to the boarders and the Schönau horse enthusiasts for their support and understanding.
Please help us spread the message "The Gstöttner riding park is pathogen-free".
Statement from our veterinarian:
After three nasal and throat swabs, we now have no positive results. No strangles bacteria (Streptococcus equi equi) were detectable. Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, the Gstöttner riding stable is once again free of strangles.
Even stables in the surrounding area showed no further signs of strangles infection. This was also confirmed using nasal and throat swabs.
For me, there is currently no risk of infection in this region.
